AI front desk for local service businesses

The calls you miss.
Answered and booked.

Somebody calls at nine on a Saturday and gets your voicemail. By Monday they have called somebody else. We answer that call instead, ask what they need, and book them in while they are still on the phone. Anything about price, insurance, an emergency or an unhappy customer stops and gets you.

And when the problem is that not enough people are calling in the first place, we run the campaigns too.

  • $500 + $500

To set it up, then a month. No contract, cancel any time.

  • No ad spend

No advertising, and none required to run it.

  • Your number

You keep it, your carrier and your bill. It only ever picks up the calls you did not take.

  • Always a person

Price, insurance, emergencies and unhappy customers.

The front desk

Nine on a Saturday

Your phone rings first. When you do not pick up, this does, and it books the job while they are still on the line.

The gap between those two columns is three minutes and one booked job. It is also the entire argument for the cheapest thing we sell.

Right now

The call you lose

  1. 9:04pm

    Somebody calls about a job.

  2. 9:04pm

It rings out and goes to voicemail.

  3. 9:05pm

They call the next company on the list.

  4. Monday

You see a missed call and no message.

Instead

The call you keep

  1. 9:04pm

    Somebody calls about a job.

  2. 9:04pm

Your phone rings first, the way it always does.

  3. 9:05pm

You do not pick up, so the front desk does.

  4. 9:07pm

Booked, confirmed by text, on your calendar.

Times are illustrative. We do not promise a response time faster than a minute, and nothing here is a claim about results.

Connections

Nothing to migrate

It answers on the line you already have and books into the calendar you already use. There is no new system for you or your office to learn.

The marketing half

And when the phone is not ringing enough

Think of it as the marketing person you would hire if you were going to hire one, except you are not paying a salary, benefits, or the eleven months it takes them to figure out your trade.

Paid ads, built and run

Google Search or Meta, whichever actually fits your trade, and we will tell you which. One channel, built and run. We read every lead weekly, and you can see everything we see.

What happens after the click

A landing page we build and host, forms, booking, call tracking, and the booked jobs imported back into the ad platform so it optimizes toward work rather than clicks.

The follow up

Missed call text back, instant form reply, appointment confirmation, reminders at 24 hours and 2 hours, no show recovery, review requests. A lead that goes quiet on a Tuesday does not just die there.

The measurement

One dashboard, your own login, numbers you can check at 6am without emailing us. Plus a written report every month and a 45 minute call on the calendar.

The things nobody owns

Review requests. The Google Business Profile nobody has touched since 2023. The contact form that has been broken since March. These usually have no owner at all, and they are where we would start.

Creative direction, not filming

Plenty of campaigns need no new footage at all, and we will say so rather than invent a shoot. Where footage would help, we tell you what to shoot and how to shoot it, down to the shot list. Being on site with a camera is a logistics question rather than a policy one, so unless you are local the filming itself stays with you or with someone we point you to.

Fit

Who this is for

This works if

  • You serve a defined area, not the whole country.
  • Calls and form fills come in at more than about 30 a month, so there is something to catch. Below that the front desk has nothing to answer and we will tell you so.
  • One person is still confirming tomorrow's appointments by hand. Owner, office manager, whoever picks up the slack. The confirmations, the reminders and the no show chasing come off that person's desk.
  • You have the capacity to actually take more work. More booked jobs into a business that cannot staff them makes everything worse.
  • Only if you want the campaigns as well: you can fund ad spend from $2,500 a month on your own card, on top of the fee. The two AI packages need none of it.

This does not work if

  • You already have a marketing manager and an agency. You do not need a third opinion, you need one of them to be better.
  • You want a guaranteed number of leads. We will not sell you one, and anyone who does is guessing.
  • You want the marketing package but have no defined service area. Paid targeting needs one to hold on to, or the cost per job goes wherever it likes. The AI packages do not care where your customers are, so national is fine for those.
Where to start

The audit

Nobody hires a marketing department off a website, and we would not expect you to.

Start with the audit instead. It costs nothing. 5 business days. A written document plus a 30 minute call to walk you through it. It tells you where your money is actually going, what is broken, what we would fix first, and what it would cost to have us do it.

Free does not mean we write one for everyone. It is a day of work and Rootline is one person, so there is an application form first and we do turn people down. If we do write yours, you keep a document that names the fixes, including the ones that do not need us. Hand it to whoever you like.

Before you commit to anything

How to judge us

Every agency site says the same things about itself, so there is not much point reading ours for the answer. Judge the work instead.

All three of these are free, none of them need a decision from you, and two of them you can do without talking to us at all.

The audit itself

The whole thing, on your numbers, for nothing. It names what is costing you money and ranks it by what it costs, tells you what we would fix first, and includes a section on what we are not promising. If the thinking in it is not worth your time, you will know inside ten minutes.

What the audit covers

What we look at, and in what order

The method is published in full: the seven sections, what each one examines in a service business, and the findings that keep turning up. You can run most of it yourself, which is rather the point of putting it on the page.

Read the method

A call with the person who would run it

Thirty minutes, no charge, no deck, no second call with a closer. Bring the questions you would rather not put in an email. If your trade has a wrinkle we should know about, that is the conversation to have it in.

Tell us what your last 90 days looked like

and we will tell you whether we would take it on. If the answer is no, you will get that in a sentence rather than a proposal.
